Gloria Estefan

International Superstar, Gloria Estefan, is a Grammy award-winning singer, actress, songwriter, author of two New York Times best-selling children’s books, philanthropist, and humanitarian. She is considered one of the world’s most recognizable and beloved performers. Billboard Magazine considers her the single most successful Latin crossover artist in music history.

Having sold over 100 million records worldwide she’s been awarded with 7 Grammy Awards, an Oscar nominated performance for the song “Music Of My Heart,” a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, an American Music Award for Lifetime Achievement, an induction into the Latin Songwriters Hall of Fame, and the Gershwin Prize for Popular Song. In 2015, President Obama honored Emilio & Gloria Estefan with the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the Nation’s highest civilian honor, presented to individuals who have made meritorious contributions to the United States, to world peace, and to cultural endeavors. In 2017, Gloria was the first Cuban-American, singer-songwriter to receive The Kennedy Center Honors.

As Executive Producers, it is the story of two people who—through an unwavering dedication to one another and their pursuit of the American dream— showcased their talent, their music and their heritage to the world in a remarkable rise to global superstardom. On Your Feet!! has received rave critical reviews and nominations for Tony Awards, Outer Critics Circle Awards and Drama League Awards and is now on tour around the world. 

She is the founder of the Gloria Estefan Foundation whose mission is to support charitable programs for disadvantaged children and empower young people through education and opportunity. The Foundation also supports spinal cord research through the Miami Project to Cure Paralysis. 

She recently released her new album, Brazil305 which topped the charts around the world and is the host of the critically acclaimed Facebook Watch series, Red Table Talk: The Estefans, which premiered Fall of 2020 and has been renewed for 12 new episodes set to release this Fall. She also voiced a character in the animated film “Vivo” written by Lin Manuel Miranda that will be released on Netflix this year and has signed on to play a role in the new ‘Father of the Bride’ film opposite Andy Garcia.

Emilio Estefan is a world-renowned music, television and film producer who has been instrumental in shaping, developing and directing the careers of his superstar wife, Gloria, as well as Shakira, Ricky Martin, Jennifer Lopez, Marc Anthony and Jon Secada among many others. Emilio has achieved incredible success throughout his career, boasting more than 40 years of industry-leading achievements, including the Presidential Medal of Freedom, a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and induction into the Latin Songwriters Hall of Fame just to name a few. With a resume that includes 19 Grammy Awards, Emilio has experimented and pushed the envelope of blending Latin, pop and world rhythms creating a unique style and personality that has created chart-topping worldwide hits. It is this vision that transcends the music field and spills over into film, television, hotels and restaurants, among other business endeavors including serving as the Executive Producer of the Tony-Award nominated smash Broadway musical, On Your Feet! Most recently, the Library of Congress honored Emilio and Gloria with the distinguished Gershwin Prize for Popular song.

Alexander Dinelaris

Book

Alexander Dinelaris was nominated for two Drama Desk Awards in 2003 for his work on the book and lyrics for the Off-Broadway hit, ZANNA, DON’T! He won the 2015 Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay for “Birdman,” (with Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu, Nicolas Giacobone and Armando Bo) which also won Best Picture. A His critically acclaimed play THE CHAOS THEORIES, which recently had a staged reading starring Kathleen Chalfont, Ally Sheedy, and Karen Ziemba, played to sold out audiences, and was a top pick of the 2004 New York Fringe Festival. At the moment, he has two plays optioned for Broadway: FOLDING THE MONSTER and STILL LIFE. His newest play, RED DOG HOWLS, addressed the Armenian genocide. Other works include BIG KIDS, ADAM & EVELYN, and PATHETIQUE.

Luis Salgado

Director/Choreographer

Luis Salgado is an international director, choreographer and educator from Puerto Rico currently based in New York City who is working on the upcoming world premiere of On Your Feet! in Spanish, in Washington D.C. He was the Assistant Latin Choreographer of In the Heights on Broadway, which won four Tony Awards. 

Luis was the director and choreographer of Viva Broadway’s “When We See Ourselves” concert as part of the Curtain Up event in Times Square produced by Playbill and the Broadway League. In 2019, Luis worked as the associate director/choreographer of Cirque du Soleil’s Paramour in Hamburg, Germany. Among the productions he has directed/choreographed in the United States and abroad are the fantasy musical Ella Es Colombia in Bogota, Colombia with MISI Musicals, the Holland Production of On Your Feet, RAGTIME, TO BE OR NOT TO BE… a Shakespearean Experience, AIDA The Musical, FAME, Amigo Duende the Musical, In The Heights, Matilda, Song of Solomon, Speed the Plow, The Tempest and Candela Fuerza y Pasión in Lima, Peru. 

In 2017, Luis directed and choreographed the U.S premiere of the Spanish version of In The Heights at GALA Theatre in Washington D.C., which received nine 2018 Helen Hayes Awards including Best Musical, Best Direction and Best Choreography.

He has appeared on Broadway in Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown, ROCKY, In The Heights, On Your Feet, as well as Off-Broadway shows and Broadway tryouts The Mambo Kings (Frankie Suarez), Fame on 42nd Street (Joe Vegas, understudy) and Aida, among others. 

Film credits include: “American Gangster”; “Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights”, the television remake of “Dirty Dancing”, “Enchanted” and “Step Up 2: The Streets” (Alejandro), for which he also was assistant choreographer. 

Luis is the founder/director of R.Evolución Latina, an affiliate of the non-profit organization Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.  

Luis’ personal mission as an artist and a leader is to empower society through the arts to make a change for the better.

DANIEL GUTIERREZ

Music Director/Keyboard

DANIEL GUTIERREZ (Music Director/Keyboard) is a pianist, arranger and music  director. Theatre credits: Associate Music Director  for On Your Feet! en Espańol (GALA Hispanic  Theatre); Music Director, Pianist and Composer  of the play Six Degrees of Separation (Colombia);  composer of the musical Misuse (Colombia).  Festivals: Womad (Australia, England) Estival  (Italy), Roskilde (Denmark), Jazz in Marciac  (France), Ajazzgo (Colombia). He currently  directs and produces his project, Manteca Blue &  the Latin Corner, and a pianist for the Agrupacion La Mambanegra of maestro Jacobo Velez, with  whom he has toured internationally in Europe,  Asia, Oceania and America. Daniel is a music  teacher at the Icesi University in Cali, Colombia  with an emphasis in musical production.
